We understand providing for your immediate family is priority number one. Yet, throughout the years many people have made the monks of St. Benedict Abbey and Retreat Center a part of their extended family. It is by the grace and mercy of God and by the generosity of so many of our family and friends that we have been able to daily do the work of God---Opus Dei.  Those who make bequests to Benedictine Monks, Inc., do so in the hope that others benefit from the good work and daily prayers of the monks here at St. Benedict's Abbey and Retreat Center.  Here are some ways you might consider assisting us:

Bequests and Testamentary Gifts

Name Benedictine Monks, Inc., as a beneficiary of your estate. Either provide for a percentage of your estate to Benedictine Monks, Inc. or a specific dollar amount.  By including us in your will or other gift opportunities, you can make a significant future gift without affecting your present financial status. 

Life Insurance

Name Benedictine Monks, Inc., as owner and beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy. In most cases, you can deduct the premiums you pay as a charitable contribution on your income tax return. Adding Benedictine Monks Inc. as a beneficiary to an existing policy can be done with a change of beneficiary form obtained from your insurance agent, and in many cases will result in a charitable contribution deduction.

Retirement Plan

Naming Benedictine Monks, Inc. as a beneficiary of your retirement plan is one of the most tax advantaged estate gifts you can make.

Charitable Trusts

Transfer cash, securities or real property into a qualified trust to benefit Benedictine Monks, Inc., and receive a charitable tax deduction and life income from your gift. For more information, consult your tax advisor, or the Development Office of St. Benedict's Abbey at Benet Lake.
